Neil has been implementing business improvement since 1989. He has successfully led, managed and directed implementation-based projects for a wide range of companies in a multitude of industries, specializing in profit improvement. Neil’s industry experience includes the following sectors: mines and maintenance, transportation, distribution, retail, wholesale, financial services, manufacturing, printing, pharmaceuticals, hospitality & tourism, entertainment, aerospace and professional service firms. Neil is able to quickly align the details of operational improvements with the overall strategic direction of the company.
Project experience
- 15 years of successfully leading, managing and directing implementation based projects in a wide range of industries and environments. Several of these projects were for fortune 500 companies
- Involved in productivity improvement initiatives in over 20 mines throughout North America
- Converted over 40 clients to references by delivering projects that saved over $100 million
- Developed several key improvements in the consulting practices used to manage and execute projects
- Designed and implemented management control systems that linked operations to financial performance including profit and loss statements. These systems linked the planning and reporting for all levels of the company
- Developed creative solutions to operations and strategy problems that could not be addressed with conventional approaches
- Coached client managers ranging from supervisors to presidents to more effectively manage, improve productivity and increase profitability
- Trained entry-level and senior consultants to become successful project managers
